EHTEL's Vision ..

• eHealth is a cooperative process intensifying and changing the interactions of all stakeholders in health and social care for the purpose of improving Continuity of Care and Patient Safety
• eHealth is a tool to ensure information, choice and empowerment, as requested by European consumers and patients.
• eHealth must comprise multiple communication channels for ensuring both equal access to services and their ubiquity.

10th Anniversary (22 October 2009):  EHTEL kindly thanks all speakers and participants of the symposium "Joining for Visions of Person Centred Health", jointly organised with EESC on 21-22 October 2009 in Brussels, Belgium, on the occasion of the  association’s tenth anniversary. Read more

Task Force "Innovation & Society" (3 June 2009):  EHTEL launched this Task Force to focus on privacy issues related to the latest eHealth and medical innovations. A first related workshop "Security and privacy challenges in personalised healthcare for the 21st Century" was co-organised on 29 June 2009 as part of the HealthGrid conference in Berlin, Germany . Anniversary Briefing Paper (27 April 2009):  EHTEL released its 10th Anniversary Briefing Paper, "Reflections on a Decade of eHealth - the second stage in Healthcare Transformation".  The paper traverses three stages of eHealth (discovery, acceptance and deployment) and sketches the future of IT in healthcare.  Read more.
