logo Collaborating for Digital Health and Care in Europe

<   back

Ageing populations, increasing prevalence of cardio-metabolic conditions, workforce shortages and burnouts, rising healthcare costs, unsustainable financing systems, health inequities: health systems around the world are facing a perfect storm. We need to challenge and radically innovate the way we promote health and deliver care.

EHTEL 2024

In 2024 EHTEL is a Steering Committee Partner: which means EHTEL is co-organising three sessions in the festival:

- a pre-conference session, in collaboration with Digital Health Uptake, on 21 May.

- a plenary session related to EHDS implementation, in collaboration with xShare, on 22 May.

- a session on "Interoperability - Beyond Techonology, Towards People and Systems Talking to Each Other", in collaboration with UNICOM, on 22 May.

The Festival Concept 2024

Deploying Prevention and Precision at Scale

Identifying and addressing risk factors before they develop into major health issues, delivering more personalised and efficient care, achieving better outcomes overall, optimising resource allocation and improving the sustainability of our health systems: the future of healthcare lies at the intersection of prevention and precision. Deploying prevention and precision at scale represents a paradigm shift, which requires vision, leadership, change management and the need to be radical.

The shared EHTEL and Radical Health Festival principles are clear:

  • Digital transformation is no longer about technology, it’s about people.
  • Our objective is no longer just about accelerating innovation, it’s also about promoting adoption at scale.
  • We need to start preaching outside the usual choir of digital health enthusiasts to engage patients, clinicians and end-users, and answer their question ‘’what’s in it for me?’’
  • Successful digital transformation journeys are always co-created.
  • Global collaboration and exchange of best practices is the only way forward.
