BeWell has launched a public consultation on directions to be taken for the health and care workforce.

BeWell, an Erasmus+ project, is running a public consultation - a survey - on the potential contents of a future skills strategy. Ultimately, the strategy will be deployed two years hence, in 2026, at a variety of levels around Europe. The two main areas of its focus will be digital skills and green skills. The ultimate aim is for its deployment to be absolutely robust, applicable, measurable, and fully implementable

BEWell call

Are you one of these four kinds of stakeholders? Are you an education provider, an employer or a member of the health and care workforce, a healthcare decision-maker or policy-maker, or the representative of a civil society organisation involved in healthcare? If so, BeWell would really welcome receiving your views!

Take part in the public consultation

Prepare to give your views on e.g.:

  • The challenges facing today's health and care workforce.
  • The types of investments needed to support the health and care workforce in its training.
  • The upskilling and reskilling of the health and care workforce.
  • The appropriateness of BeWell's six skills-related objectives.
  • Some suggestions of good practices in skills training on digital skills or green skills.
  • The percentages of workforce members that might be expected to receive training, this year, in 2025, 2027 and 2030.

You can take part in the public consultation now. You have the option of completing the survey in your preference of up to nine languages, including English. Your deadline for completion: 15 October 2024.

BeWell guesstimates that this 50-question survey should take you around 35 minutes to complete. (You may be able to shorten the completion time-length by skipping responses to questions that aren't absolutely crucial to your context.)

To sum up

Taking the time to offer BeWell your views about health and care workforce training - whether locally, regionally, or nationally - is an absolutely vital assignment. This is a great way to ensure that all stakeholder views will influence the ideal directions to be taken in Europe in the future on digital (and green) skills training.
