What is the Call for technical assistance and training (TA&T)?

The Call for technical assistance and training offers financial support for organizing digital health training and activities.

  • Its goal is to accelerate and streamline the process of deployment and upscaling of digital health in the context of the implementation, tapping into the knowledge and peer-support of digital health experts recruited specifically to deliver these support services.
  • A budget of €21,000 has been allocated to fund 7 potential trainings or technical activities to stimulate knowledge exchange, training, digital know-how transfer, and the adoption of innovative practices between European regions and countries.

What types of technical assistance and training are being funded?

The support mechanism consists of online sessions (open or restricted/closed) provided by the DigitalHealthUptake consortium. These sessions focus on a specific tool designed to speed up and improve the deployment and expansion of digital health services.

  • What do open sessions mean?

At an open session, the target organizations can come from health and care services, digital health technology organisations, and digital innovation hubs or public authorities.

  • What do restricted/closed sessions?

In restricted or closed sessions, the participants will be from the DHU Twinning programme or institutions associated with the Active and Healthy Ageing/Living (AHA/AHL) Reference Sites Regions. These sessions are particularly beneficial for those implementing digital health solutions, especially those supporting integrated care and health promotion.

Why should you apply to the Call for assistance and training?

Participating in the DHU Call for assistance and training comes with numerous advantages. For the trainers, the benefits offer a platform to promote the methods and tools they own or are expert users of, capable of teaching others on how to use and apply them. For the learners who will benefit from the organised trainings, the advantages lie in obtaining knowledge about using the methods and tools to empower them to implement or scale up digital health related initiatives in their regional or national setting.

How to submit an application?

The call will be open in the period 15 April – 14 June 2024. Successful applications will be awarded grants of up to €3,000 to facilitate the implementation of training and assistance activities through a series of training sessions.

The call documents can be downloaded on the DHU website.
